Victoria is a Lecturer in Music Therapy in the Occupational Therapy and Arts Therapies Division.

Victoria has been involved in the practice, teaching and development of music therapy specialising in paediatric palliative care for twenty-five years. She undertook her PhD in the group at the University of York.
She is also the Director of Resonance Creative Therapy, and is a coordinator for the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) network along with the British Association of Music Therapy (BAMT).
Active Research Interests
Victoria's research is centred around music therapy in paediatric palliative care. She recently undertook a systematic review on 'Experiences of Music Therapy in Paediatric Palliative Care from multiple stakeholders perspectives: a Systematic Review and Qualitative Evidence Synthesis'.
She is now undertaking a qualitative study 'Understanding Child and Parent Experience of receiving Music Therapy in a Children's Hospice setting: a qualitative study of child and parent experiences and perspectives'. This will explore child and parent's experiences and perceptions of music therapy received in children's hospices in the UK.
