Jessica Davidson is a Honorary Lecturer in the Nursing Division at Queen Margaret University.Â

Jessica Davidson is a Senior Clinical Forensic Charge Nurse working within South East Scotland Police Custody and Forensic Examination Service. She is currently Chair of the RCN Nursing in Justice and Forensic Committee, A Fellow of RCN and a Queens Nurse.
She is joint programme lead for the new Advanced Clinical Forensic Practice course which has developed from activism to develop the specialty of police custody and forensic examination nursing and endorsed by Scottish Government, NHS, Police Scotland COPFs and Rape Crisis Scotland. Essentially, her interests lie in tackling health inequalities especially in trauma, improving mental health, reducing violence and addressing addiction. She is particularly interested how nursing and nurses have a vital leading role to play in our communities and how trauma informed and person- centred care is central to this success.
Jessica's nursing background has largely been in emergency services, community outreach work and police custody and forensic examination nursing. Her areas of interest are Justice and Forensic nursing including all aspects of police, prison and secure nursing, health inequalities and societal responses, health improvement and creative responses.Â
