Raw Film Productions was established at the beginning of 2012 by two QMU graduates Michael Grant and Agata Heald. After a few projects, the team realised that they are a perfect match of different skills that are needed to produce high quality films for their clients and to run a business. The team have worked with companies and organisations across all 3 sectors, including ScotGov, SEPA, Halifax, RBS, numerous of universities and private companies across Scotland.
Raw Film specialises in short films for online use, capturing in under 3 minutes snappy stories, case studies and testimonials which help their clients communicate with their audiences. Raw Film is constantly updating their equipment to the most up to date technology and pride themselves on building long term relationships with their clients, creating a friendly environment during the shoots and thinking on their feet.
"Raw Films are passionate about making films for others and helping companies and organisations capture what they are all about. Cooperating with a range of creatives across the sector to add production values to the projects is an added bonus to the job. It’s a very inspiring environment to be in. "
QMU was vital in our journey to become filmmakers as well as business owners. Walid and Graham in the Film department were so inspiring and helpful, with both of them having experience working in corporate filmmaking, they were able to offer us advice which was crucial in our understanding of the industry. With QMU being quite a small university everyone is very approachable and friendly which is a great environment to be in. Having Business Gateway at the campus was an added bonus which made setting up a business a lot less daunting as there was always someone there to answer our questions and look over our business plan.
